Decked out to the nines, The Brick City Alphas, the Premier Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha welcomed over 350 guests to the Crystal Plaza Ballroom at its biennial Evening of Elegance. The Evening of Elegance serves as one of the primary fundraisers for the Alpha Alpha Lambda Scholarship and Education Fund. Over $12,000 was raised, plus an additional $5000 donation from the Crystal Plaza in recognition and appreciation for the work you do. Proceeds will go to scholarships for high school and college youths in Essex County. Highlights of the evening include Bro. Ernesto Morillo being recognized as the Outstanding Brother of the Year. Bro. James Bedoya from the "Hall of Phame" Phi Eta Chapter was recognized as the Outstanding Undergraduate Brother of the Year. Much deserved recognitions were also awarded to Bro. Alfred Glass who won the "Ice Ice Baby" award. This award recognizes the outstanding work Bro. Glass has done in his tenure at the Area IV District Director. More photos coming soon.
